With the GTN 750’s revolutionary new touchscreen interface, you’re rarely more than two taps away from all of the system’s primary functions. Quickly pan across the map screen simply by swiping your finger across the 6.9-in. diagonal high-resolution TFT display. Or enter waypoint data with the full onscreen keypad. It’s even designed with raised grips in the bezel and a shelf across the lower edge of the display that serve as gripping points in both smoother and turbulent flight conditions. Traditional concentric knobs are also available for those who are used to that style of data input.

Orlando Aircraft Service & the Garmin Aviation team had the pleasure of teaming with ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help a Florida family get the airplane makeover they need and deserve.

Garmin was honored to help refurbish this family’s airplane and outfit it with a complete line of Garmin avionics, including a G500, dual GNS 430Ws, GMA 347, GTX 330, and an Aera 500. A team from Orlando Aircraft worked around the clock to rewire and install the new panel in three days. Garmin’s own Joe Stewart and Dave Brown happened to be in the area to attend the unveiling to the family of this incredible makeover.

Stewart describes the filming play by play, “The family pulls up in a limousine, just like you see on TV. The designer and show host, Paige, pulled the airplane out from behind a hangar using their new Ford Explorer. The family gets out of the car and walks to the plane while Ty explains what they have done to Joe’s plane. Just as soon as Joe sees his new plane and Garmin glass stack he begins to weep. He jumped into his plane and begins describing how much it all meant to him.”

For over 25 years, Joe, a pilot and the tireless founder of Air Mobile Ministries and his wife Cindy, a former nurse, have been on a quest to provide clean water to a thirsty world. Joe has flown all over the world in his 1970 Cessna Skymaster delivering water purifiers and supplies to those in need. After a pipe burst and destroyed their home, Joe, Cindy and their three children were forced to live in the damaged home and use the same water purification system they had delivered to so many in need.
